Goshan mohammed karadaghi is a global health, public health, education and gender specialist situated in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. She obtained a Masters in Gobal Health and Development from University College London. She is a lecturer at the American university of Iraq, Sulaimani in the medical sciences department, where she has served for 7 years, before which she taught at the Sulaimani university School of medicine within the department of family and community medicine. She is also serving on the scientific board of the Kurdistan Health Summit, an organization designed to create platforms for discussion of pressing health concerns within the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the wider Middle East, for the purpose of developing policy to encourage health development.
Goshan’s specific areas of interest include health and development, public health, bioethics, medical anthropology, gender and youth engagement.
She has worked on development and capacity building amount Iraq and Kurdistan in partnership with UN agencies and NGOs. Her research interests lie in medical anthropology, public health, health development and gender.
